Welcome to Volunteers of Lake Country
Volunteers of Lake Country began in January of 2009 with a group of nine friends from the Lake Country area joining together for two purposes. To help those in need within our community, as well as work to offer volunteer opportunities to individuals and families in the Lake Country area.
We recognize that in the present economy, the need is up, and the giving is down. Even non-profit organizations, who typically help those who are struggling, are feeling the impact of lower donations, grants, and available funding.
We are networking through this website. You can sign up to join our e-mail list (upper right corner of this page), and at the beginning of each month you will receive an e-mail to keep you up to date on needs and on volunteer opportunities for that month. We organize one group project each month, often along with a few other opportunities to help others. If you are available to help, or if you wish to donate something that we are collecting for a project or a client, please visit the contact page to let us know!
Our hopes are that you will share our information with your friends & neighbors in the area and that you will find some projects along the way that touch your heart and inspire you to become involved!
